How We Use It for Bower & Branch Trees

Our team uses Organic Plant Magic at planting as part of our Tree Elements system, especially when installing our largest, landscape-ready trees. Here’s how we recommend applying it based on tree size:

For XL – 2XL Trees

• Use half of a 4-lb bag at planting.
• Mix into the native soil and spread around the rim of the planting hole.
• Spread the other half over the Care Bed.
• Water deeply to activate.

This reduces transplant stress and encourages early root development.

For 3XL – 4XL Trees

• Use one full 4-lb bag per planting.
• Half goes into the planting hole, and half over the Care Bed.
• Water deeply to activate.

For 5XL – 6XL Trees and Larger

• Use two full 4-lb bags.
• One bag mixed into native soil; the other over the Care Bed.
• Water everything thoroughly.

Seasonal Applications for Ongoing Tree Health

As part of your seasonal care routine, we recommend using Organic Plant Magic twice a year for the first five years:

Spring Application

• Apply half the planting rate over the Care Bed before bud break, while your tree is still dormant.
• Water in well.

Timing tip: Mid to late March in the North, February in the South.

Fall Application

• Apply half the planting rate again in early fall to support root growth before winter.
• Water deeply.

Timing tip: Around Labor Day in the North, early October in the South.
