How To Plant Burkwood Viburnum

Burkwood Viburnum would prefer to be planted in well-draining soil, but will adapt to different types as well. They will thrive in full sun or partial shade areas.

How To Water

Check to see if the top two inches of soil is dry. If it is then give your plant a nice drink of water. Your plant will not need lots of water unless it is newly planted or there are drought conditions.

How To Fertilize

Burkwood Viburnum will need to be feed three to four times a year, starting in the month of April and ending in mid July. We recommend using our Elements Starter Plant Food in granular form for that boost your plant will need.

How To Prune

Heavy pruning of the Burkwood Viburnum should take place in the late winter or early spring. While light pruning can happen at any time. When heavy pruning is needed, you will need to cut one-third of the oldest stems on the shrub. This will help improve the air circulation inside of the shrubs canopy.
