Why plant Knock Out® Sunny Rose?
Lemony-yellow blooms? Yes, please! Knock Out® Sunny Rose is just that, the sunshine we all need added to our gardens! Also known as the most fragrant in the Knock Out® family, Sunny Rose will fill the air in a sweet aroma, so definitely plant this spirit in a place where everyone can enjoy. The buttery hue has a long-lasting bloom, and tough disease-resistant foliage is just the perfect dark green accent. This spirit will transform as the seasons change to a soft white color; you’ll want to spend peaceful summer days lying next to your Knock Out® Sunny Rose bushes drifting into sweet dreams.
When the first Knock Out Rose hit the market in 2000, the Rose world was changed forever. At last, there was a Rose that stayed clean and healthy all season—and it bloomed for months! This marvel was bred by William Radler, a hobbyist who hybridized Roses at his Greenfield, Wisconsin, home and raised the seedlings in his basement.
How to use Knock Out® Sunny Rose in the landscape?
Rose blossoms are usually most vivid when the plants are grown in cool, mild climates. Knock Out is said to be an exception to the rule. In hot, humid climates, the flower color actually intensifies!

How To Plant Knock Out® Sunny Rose
Why are Knock Out® Roses so hardy? Well, they’re not only gorgeous, but they are also vigorous growers and cold hardy! They thrive in areas that receive full to partial sunlight, with about six hours of sun a day. A spot in your garden that offers afternoon shade over morning shade is preferred. Knock Out® Roses are adaptable to many different types of soil, as long as it is well-drained. They don’t like sitting in wet feet. Evenly moist soil, happy sunshine, and you’ll have a garden thriving in colorful roses!
How To Water
Newly planted Roses should be watered every two or three days, once Roses become established water them once or twice a week as needed to keep the soil moist.
How To Fertilize
Feed your Roses twice a year in March/April before flowering to encourage bigger and colorful blooms.
How To Prune
Prune your roses in very early spring once you see signs of new growth emerging. You can cut your rose back by one half to two thirds of the total size of your plant. Expect your rose to almost triple in size in the coming months.
