      Why plant Radiance Abelia?

Color radiates off of this cute shrub - with bright red stems that hold green and creamy yellow leaves, Radiance Abelia will be a great addition to any landscape. A smaller shrub, Radiance packs a lot of punch in terms of color. Summer brings a burst of fragrant white blooms that spring up around the creamy leaves. These sweet flowers last through fall while the leaves remain a silver-green hue. A low maintenance plant, all you'll need to do is plant and provide routine waterings until established then admire Radiance in all it's glory.

Abelias are a member of the honeysuckle family and have delightfully fragrant flowers. They originated in eastern China and were brought to England in 1844 where they were found to be an easy care and charming shrub, with attractive foliage and a long bloom time. Radiance Abelia, with its silvery-green and creamy yellow leaves, will add a shimmery drama to your landscape. It's naturally rounded shape will be covered in white blooms all summer long, attracting bees and butterflies.

How to use Radiance Abelia in the landscape?

Radiance Abelia is known for its low maintenance lifestyle. It is flexible with its requirements, not making many demands. Just give it some sun and water, average soils and moisture, and it will reward you with striking silver-green and cream foliage and a summer full of fragrant white blooms. It is frost, drought and heat resistant and will add curb appeal to your home.

      How To Plant Radiance Abelia

Radiance Abelia is an, easy care plant that is generally disease and pest free. It likes to live in the sun, but will tolerate part shade. Plant it in moist, well-drained soils, in an area sheltered from hard freezes and water once a week. The flowers bloom on new wood, so prune as needed in late winter or early spring.

      How To Water

Water twice weekly for the first 3-5 weeks; then water weekly for the remainder of the year until winter. When you water, water slowly and thoroughly. Watering needs may be altered due to extreme weather conditions.

      How To Fertilize

Incorporate Elements Starter Plant food granular form into the soil when planting. If planting in spring or summer start fertilizing late fall using Elements Starter Plant food granular form on an annual basis each late year. Continue this for three years to get your plant well established.

      How To Prune

Abelia flowers on new wood so prune/shear your Abelia in very early spring before the new growth starts.
