The wedding culture may be changing, but one thing is for certain, there will almost always be a white element to each event where great memories are made. White Wedding Hydrangea brings the clean and crisp white aspect of a wedding to your backyard! The soft, pillowy texture of the White Wedding Hydrangea will prove to be a great addition to any landscape whether used as a focal point, hedge, or just a complimentary plant to what is already established. An easy to care for hydrangea, all you'll need to do is plant then sit back and watch as White Wedding does the hard work!

Hydrangeas are very popular because of their big, beautiful blooms and are used in the cut flower world and also as garden plants. Most hydrangeas are native to Asia and their colors have come to symbolize certain emotions and occasions. In Japan hydrangeas have positive meanings such as understanding, unity and togetherness. In Europe they were used to symbolize arrogance and boastfulness. How Awful! Fortunately for us, we have come to appreciate them for their beauty and have lost the negative symbols! White Wedding Hydrangea blossoms can only inspire good feelings with their huge, beautiful white blooms that look like puffy pillows.

How to use White Wedding® Hydrangea in the landscape?

White Wedding Hydrangeas produce their large flower clusters on long sturdy stems, making it an ideal flower for cutting. It is frequently used in indoor floral arrangements and for wedding flowers. I bet that's where its name comes from! Those amazing balls of white also look spectacular in your outdoor landscape, attracting bees and butterflies and also the envious eye of your neighbors.

    Planting Zones

    Hardiness Zone: 3-8

How To Plant White Wedding® Hydrangea

White Wedding Hydrangeas are easy to care for. They love to be planted in moist well-drained soil in full sun but do appreciate some light shade in the afternoon in the southern end of their range (Zones 7 & 8). It doesn't mind heat and humidity, but it also withstands cold temperatures. It produces its flower on new wood, so don't do any pruning in late spring or summer.

    How To Water

Water twice weekly for the first 3-5 weeks; then water weekly for the remainder of the year until winter. When you water, water slowly and thoroughly. Watering needs may be altered due to extreme weather conditions.

    How To Fertilize

Incorporate Elements Starter Plant food granular form into the soil when planting. If planting in spring or summer, start fertilizing in late fall using Elements Starter Plant food granular form on an annual basis each year. Continue this for three years to get your plant well established.

    How To Prune

Prune as needed in early spring. Shearing all the growth will increase your flower count but with smaller flower heads while selectively thinning out the branches will give you fewer but larger flowers. With its naturally compact habit pruning can be optional as well.

    Shipping Delays:

From time to time, Bower & Branch Growers may determine to delay order shipment based on various factors for plant health. Weather in your region, as well as, where your plants are grown, is always considered when shipping. Extreme weather conditions may delay some or all of your order. Bower & Branch allows our Growers to make final shipping decisions based solely to benefit your trees and plants’ health and success.

    How Does Sizing Work?

The size of our trees have nothing to do with the container size like you may find elsewhere–big doesn't mean just height - it’s also vigor, age, and overall health. Other online retailers are going to tell you that a plant is a seven gallon, that means nothing to your tree or plant (or you.)

Our trees for sale online are graded on large, x-large, and even bigger sizes. This is because our trees are sized by their age—the higher the letter, the more mature the tree. The age determines the trees’ overall height, size of the trunk and the overall branch density.

All of these characteristics are what you should be looking for when choosing a tree for immediate impact and instant curb appeal. Our extra-large tree and plant sizes are sure to wow you and your neighbors!
