I purchased several different kinds of trees this spring 2025 from Bower and Branch: 1 weeping blue Atlas Blue Cedar, 3 dogwoods, 1 Japanese Maple, 8 hemlocks, and 1 spruce. Every tree was full, the correct size ordered ,and in excellent condition. I compare them with similar trees of other vendors and there is no comparison. Each tree was an outstanding example of its type. Finally, although I wondered before hand about the expense of having them all planted, I am so glad I spent the money. The young man did everything right. I watched. Superb job. Customer service: excellent of course.
I first saw “Liz” in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.,it was the only yellow magnolia n that garden and the first yellow I had ever seen!use 38 years ago,, tall and stately Elizabeth is the “Queen of ‘Six Maples.” quick growing,, she is in full sun in Northern Westchester, NY.
25 years ago she sadly lost the top 4’ of the upright trunk to a rogue whirlwind, Surprisingly with no pruning at the break, she quickly grew a new straight leader with no sign of this damage.
A pair, widespread at the entrance to any building, would be a magnificent addition to the property!

I contacted B & B in the spring of 2021. I was specifically looking for a low branched specimen. Not only did they promptly reply to my inquiry, but they sent me a picture of the actual tree I’d be getting! My tree arrived a couple of weeks later in good condition with no damaged leaves. It has flourished right from the start. It was about 7 feet tall when it was planted and has grown steadily since. Paperbark Maples are slow growing, perhaps 6-12 inches a year, but the reward for patience is well worth it.
Ordered my maple in the summer and it was supposed to be sent in October but was delivered in November. Apparently that’s better for my area (NC) but I was kinda anxious about it. When it arrived it was a beautiful fellow in a sturdy carrying barrel. Also came with a bag of compost and a bag of plant food. It was easy enough to plant, but will have to see how he does over the winter. Can’t wait to see him grow. Looks healthy and happy.
I was not home when tree was delivered, driver never called. Fortunately, I had a furniture Dolly to help me move the tree.
My 3rd tree from B&B - very pleased. The tree took quite awhile to arrive (delivery issues), but was perfect when delivered - very healthy and large! I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be so. Customer service is top notch. Thank you Bower and Branch!
