Abelias are a member of the honeysuckle family and have delightfully fragrant flowers. They originated in eastern China and were brought to England in 1844. They were found to be an easy care and charming shrub, with attractive foliage and a long bloom time. Kaleidoscope Abelia outdoes itself in the attractive foliage department, starting out lime green and yellow in spring, adding golden highlights in summer and finally putting on a grand orange and red display in fall.

How To Plant Kaleidoscope Abelia
Kaleidoscope Abelia is a low maintenance plant and is generally disease and pest free. It likes full sun or part shade, but will produce more flowers and leaf coloration when grown in full sun. Kaleidoscope grows readily in moist well-drained soils and likes to be sheltered from hard freezes. Water once a week, or more if grown in containers. The flowers bloom on new wood, so prune as needed in late winter or early spring.
