Why plant Knock Out® Rose?

Snag yourself an award winning Rose that will beautify your garden space! Classically colored and re-blooming all season, these flowers will invite many pollinators, like the endangered Monarch butterfly and your busy local honeybees, into your garden space. These classic Roses pair extremely well with the dark green foliage that lasts through summer, and fades into soft hues of purple in the fall! Passerby are sure to stop and admire your landscape with an addition of the Knock Out® Rose!

The Knock Out® was cultivated by an amateur rose breeder, William Radler, in 1989. He created this Rose with the intent of disease resistance, drought tolerance, and cold-hardiness - boy did he succeed! Today, the Knock Out Rose is single handedly the most popular Rose in the United States!

How to use Knock Out® Rose in the landscape?

Knock Out® Roses deserve to be the centerpiece of your garden! Plant them along your foundations, as a border along walkways, or even create a low hedge. As an extremely adaptable and hardy Rose, these will work in any space you desire!

Planting Zones

Hardiness Zone: 5-11

How To Plant Knock Out® Rose

Plant your Knock Out® Rose in a location with plenty of sun and good air circulation for success! Before winter sets in, add an extra layer of mulch around your rose to be sure it stays nice and warm!

How To Water

Newly planted Roses should be watered every two or three days, once Roses become established water them once or twice a week as needed to keep the soil moist.

How To Fertilize

Feed your Roses twice a year in March/April before flowering to encourage bigger and colorful blooms.

How To Prune

Prune your roses in very early spring once you see signs of new growth emerging. You can cut your rose back by one half to two thirds of the total size of your plant. Expect your rose to almost triple in size in the coming months.
