Why plant Little Hottie® Panicle Hydrangea?

Compact and tough, Little Hottie® Compact Hydrangea packs a punch wherever it is planted. From Minnesota to Georgia, this heat-tolerant hydrangea can brighten up the coldest or hottest landscape around. Starting out with green blooms, the flower clusters quickly turn a striking white which later turns to a soft, blush pink in the fall. A compact hydrangea, Little Hottie® can be added to any landscape as an accent or get creative and plant a hedge row of these unique shrubs.

How to use Little Hottie® Panicle Hydrangea in the landscape?

This Little Hottie® can be used as a single specimen plant in a small yard or corner of a courtyard. It is the perfect white and soft pink backdrop for smaller, vibrantly colored perennials. Can be used as a border to a perennial garden.

Planting Zones

Hardiness Zone: 3-8

How To Plant Little Hottie® Panicle Hydrangea

Simple to grow, just give it a fair amount of sun, some average well drained soil and let it flower abundantly!

How To Water

Water your Panicle deeply and regularly until the plant has established. Once the plant has matured it will need average water, but will be able to withstand more sun exposure than others.

How To Fertilize

It is not necessary to fertilize panicle hydrangeas regularly. Our Elements Starter Plant Food is actually perfect for this plant because they prefer a granular form fertilizer in early spring!

How To Prune

Prune in early spring when needed. It is well behaved so don't expect much pruning work. Some people give it a 1/3 haircut early each spring to keep it on the lower end of the 3-5 ft. range.
