How To Plant Magic Carpet Spirea
This easy to grow Spirea can handle just about anything you throw at it other than shade or wet soil. Don't be concerned about pruning, in fact some people periodically cut theirs to the ground to rejuvenate the plant.
How To Water
After planting your Magic Carpet Spirea, you should water very thoroughly and keep an eye for the following weeks. You'll want to give a good soaking once a week during the summer unless you can rely on rainfall. Once your Spirea is established you can generally lessen your watering amount.
How To Fertilize
Established Spireas prefer when a light fertilizer is used. Our Elements Starter Plant Food is perfect for this type of plant! Sprinkle some of our granular plant food after planting and you won't have to again till next year!
How To Prune
Prune or shear your Spirea in late winter or early spring as the new growth starts to emerge. A light shearing after the first wave of flowers will encourage more flowers.
