How To Plant Flame Seedless Grape

With Flame in the name, you can probably guess, these grapes love those hotter climates and are perfect for those hot and sunny gardens! With a hot sun on them, they will provide an early-season harvest of large, sweet, and juicy grapes. They prefer well-draining soil and they don't really mind the kind—except for heavy or clay soil types, those aren't their favorite. Trail the vines along trellises or creating an espalier form to help with the spacing on these wonderful plants.

How To Water

These grapes LOVE their water. It is recommended to give them a good watering once a week, they should never go a full 2 weeks without irrigation.

How To Fertilize

Incorporate Elements Starter Plant Food granular form into the soil when planting. If planting in spring or summer, start fertilizing late fall using Elements Starter Plant Food granular form on an annual basis each fall. Continue this for the first three years to get your plant well established.

How To Prune

In the late winter, during the first two years, any canes that are extending from shoots should be pruned back to spurs. In the third year, it is important to remove up to 50% of the previous year's growth each winter.
