Why plant Little Quick Fire® Hydrangea?

If you aren't clapping already, you should be! The Quick Fire® Hydrangea was named the 2022 Hydrangea of the Year! This little fella is the smaller, more compact version of the Quick Fire® Hydrangea but they still have that super early bloom time that the larger variety is known for! This pretty and petite flowering shrub will bring excitement to your garden in the form of beneficial pollinators dancing from bloom to bloom. Without sacrificing too much garden space, the Little Quick Fire® will bring big visual impact and drama to your landscape with a lovely color change from sparkling white to pink. Your neighbors will most definitely be starstruck when they see your beautiful and early blooming hydrangeas!

How To Plant Little Quick Fire® Hydrangea

Little Quick Fire® prefer to be planted in full sun so they can show off the best and brightest blooms possible! They need to be planted in well-draining soil as they will most definitely not tolerate wet feet.

How To Water

Keep the soil moist but not saturated, especially in the summer and the first year of planting. The Little Quick Fire® will need deep watering once a week when its hot and dry.

How To Fertilize

Fertilize your Little Quick Fire® in early spring with our Elements Starter Plant Food for that springtime growth boost!

How To Prune

As the Little Quick Fire® blooms on new wood, avoid late spring pruning at all costs. You'll only need a single prune in late winter or early spring for a quick clean up. Cut back to a healthy, thick bud. Thin out any spindly, old, broken or weak branches at the same time.
