Why the Snow Fountains® Weeping Cherry?
No garden is too large or too small for a Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry. This dwarf weeping tree grows fast but stays small, and its tidy, naturally manicured-looking outline makes it the perfect fit for formal areas of your landscape, such as by your front door, street-side, or near your pool or patio. In spring, you’ll have a mini Cherry Blossom Festival of your own when the pristine white flowers crowd the branches so thickly you won’t be able to see through to the trunk. And even though the Cherry blossoms hog all the attention, Snow Fountain® is no slouch in the fall color department, either!
Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry originated near Cleveland in 1985 at Lake County Nursery. LCN has been a prolific source of new plants, with nearly 150 introductions to date. In making their selections, they strive to produce plants with four-season appeal that are low-maintenance and naturally pest-resistant. By those standards, they couldn’t be happier with Snow Fountain®! Our High-Form Snow Fountains® are grafted at five feet, the branches weeping down from that point. You can trim the branches to expose the handsome bronze bark, or you can let them flow to the ground.
How to use in the landscape?
Great characteristics for tight spaces. Loads of gorgeous, white flowers cascade down the branches, welcoming the arrival of spring's longer days and warmer temperatures. Provides an excellent focal point in your landscape. A fountain of white in early spring with a fall show of orange to red foliage.

How To Plant
Snow Fountain® Weeping Cherry thrives in any sunny location in most types of soil, except those that stay wet. This is a grafted tree, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for suckers coming up from the base of the tree or growing straight up from the trunk—prune these out immediately. (Click here for the full scoop on pruning Weeping Cherries.) You’ll also want to watch out for Japanese beetles, which may chew Snow Fountain’s® leaves in summer. They may be picked off by hand or controlled with chemicals or organic sprays. Please don’t hesitate to ask our tree care specialists here at Bower & Branch™ for advice on the pest control plan that works best for you!
Wondering when is the best time to plant a Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry Tree? (submitted 8/16/16)
Good question! For Snow Fountain the goal is to plant as early in Fall as possible and while the weather today does not indicate Fall has arrived, it has for the tree. The sooner we can plant the more root development we can expect through the remaining growing months. Roots can grow well into early Winter due to warmer soil temperatures.
Fall planting of Snow Fountain brings rewards! You will get to enjoy the Spring season show of color and at the same time your tree will grow quickly next season and will be prepared for Summer weather next year whatever that might be.
How To Water
Flowering Cherry Trees will appreciate watering deeply, and regularly during its first few years in the ground. Irrigate weekly, and especially during long dry spells or extreme heat after it’s established.
How To Fertilize
Incorporate Elements Starter Plant food granular form into the soil when planting. If planting in spring or summer, start fertilizing late fall using Elements Starter Plant food granular form on an annual basis each late fall. Continue this for the first three years to get your plant well established.

How Does Shipping Work?
Bower & Branch Trees, the real BIG trees, don’t fit in a box! Our large trees require expert delivery and care, that means our large trees are shipped on Bower & Branch trucks. We are the only ones who know how to ship our big and bigger trees and plants with tender loving care.
We deliver your trees and plants directly to your driveway or curbside! Ask Bower & Branch about planting services and rates – we'd be happy to assist in installation.
*Big trees, Size XL (A) and bigger, will take approximately 2 to 4 weeks days to be delivered. - Sizes large (AA) and smaller (Treelings) will be shipped directly to your home by a local common carrier in a plant-safe box.
How Does Sizing Work?
The size of our trees have nothing to do with the container size like you may find elsewhere–big doesn't mean just height - it’s also vigor, age, and overall health.. Other online retailers are going to tell you that a plant is a seven gallon, that means nothing to your tree or plant (or you.)
Our trees for sale online are graded on large, x-large, and even bigger sizes. This is because our trees are sized by their age—the higher the letter, the more mature the tree. The age determines the trees’ overall height, size of the trunk and the overall branch density.
All of these characteristics are what you should be looking for when choosing a tree for immediate impact and instant curb appeal. Our extra-large tree and plant sizes are sure to wow you and your neighbors!
