Planting Zones

Hardiness Zone: 4-9

How To Plant Summer Crush® Endless Summer® Hydrangea

Endless Summer Hydrangea grow best when they get full sun for part of the day and shade the balance of the day. Up north, where the summers are cooler, they like full sun for up to 6 hours each day and as you move south and the summer sun is more intense the less full direct sun is desired. In zones 8 and 9, consider 2 hours of full direct sun as ideal. Your Summer Crush will have pink flowers in an alkaline soil and blue flowers in acidic soil.

How To Water

Endless Summer Hydrangeas prefer to have the soil moist, but not saturated - especially in the summer and well into its first year after planting so it can become established. Throughout its life ,this hydrangea will need a deep watering once weekly when it is dry and hot.

How To Fertilize

Fertilize your Hydrangea once in the spring, we recommend using our Elements Starter Plant Food to help your plant get through its first growing season.

How To Prune

Prune your hydrangea right after it flowers to control its size or to tidy things up. Don't prune it hard because those stems will have flower buds for next year!
