Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:

Espalier is where function meets style. Treat it like a piece of garden architecture: keep the area around it simple, gravel, clipped herbs, or low perennials, so the lines stay crisp. And here’s the secret sauce: a sunny wall adds warmth that leading to better ripening and sweeter fruit, so “pretty placement” can also be “smart placement.”

Why Plant Espalier Heirloom Collection Fruiting Apple (four varieties)?

This is the tree for people who want their landscape to be both beautiful and delicious. The 4-in-1 Heirloom Collection is an espalier apple trained into a flat, structured shape, so it looks like living architecture, clean lines, intentional form, and a little “European garden moment” built right in. But the real magic is that it produces four different apple varieties on one tree, giving you a broader range of flavor and an extended harvest season without needing multiple trees.

In spring, it blooms in white to soft blush-pink, then spends the season doing the satisfying work of growing fruit you can actually pick. It’s equal parts ornamental and productive, which means you’re not just planting a tree, you’re planting an experience. (And yes, it’s absolutely okay to feel a little superior when guests ask where you bought your “apple wall.”)

How to use Espalier Heirloom Collection Fruiting Apple (four varieties) in the landscape?

Plant it along a sunny fence, wall, or freestanding trellis where the espalier form can be appreciated as a living design feature and the branches can be supported as they grow. It’s a perfect choice near patios and outdoor dining areas, where spring blooms feel romantic and the fruit is close enough to snack on while pretending you’re “just checking ripeness.” Use it to soften hardscape edges, define a garden room, or add privacy without bulk, since it stays trained flat instead of taking up lawn space. For best fruiting, choose a site with strong sun and good airflow, and keep the area below it tidy with low groundcovers or a clean mulch ring so the shape stays the star.

Shipping Delays:

From time to time, Bower & Branch Growers may determine to delay order shipment based on various factors for plant health. Weather in your region, as well as, where your plants are grown, is always considered when shipping. Extreme weather conditions may delay some or all of your order. Bower & Branch allows our Growers to make final shipping decisions based solely to benefit your trees and plants’ health and success.

How Does Sizing Work?

The size of our trees have nothing to do with the container size like you may find elsewhere–big doesn't mean just height - it’s also vigor, age, and overall health. Other online retailers are going to tell you that a plant is a seven gallon, that means nothing to your tree or plant (or you.)

Our trees for sale online are graded on large, x-large, and even bigger sizes. This is because our trees are sized by their age—the higher the letter, the more mature the tree. The age determines the trees’ overall height, size of the trunk and the overall branch density.

All of these characteristics are what you should be looking for when choosing a tree for immediate impact and instant curb appeal. Our extra-large tree and plant sizes are sure to wow you and your neighbors!
