This is an amazing shrub. If you have doubts, don't. I killed by taking too many pieces for hostess gifts.
The tree was healthy and beautiful, but I was disappointed it came trained as a serpentine when I was never told or even offered that. The ad showed a standard staked blue spruce, not a serpentine. I since trained a new leader on it to continue its vertical growth so I will still have the vertically growing spruce I wanted. I would have gladly given a 5-star review if not for that.
It was an excellent experience purchasing our new Whitespire Birch Tree coming to Michigan to replace our 150 year old White Paper Birch !
We were extremely excited to get this tree. We had the perfect spot prepared, had Bower & Branch plant it, installed a protective fence, properly mulched around the tree, and followed the proper watering schedule. We have planted trees from other sites, which are thriving, and wanted to get something very special this time to dedicate as a remembrance to our grandfathers. Unfortunately this tree did not survive a mid 30’s (for the low temp) spring two day cold snap. Bower & Branch does not offer a guarantee on all their trees, they only sell them. Due to the success we had on other trees, this was not something we felt we needed to purchase. Hoping our story helps anyone considering this same tree.

Bower & Branch does offer an extended 3-Year Tree Guarantee on all trees and services, and we always encourage customers to add this protection at the time of purchase. This guarantee is also included at no charge for our Club Canopy members.
While this order did not include the extended guarantee, we did offer a substantial discount toward a full replacement tree and planting, and that offer remains open. Tree stress and failure can happen for many reasons, especially during extreme weather, and when we are contacted at the first signs of trouble, our growers are often able to help guide care and improve the outcome.

I originally ordered another tree that unfortunately failed. Bower and Branch stood by their three year guarantee. They not only replaced the failed tree, they shipped a larger, healthier specimen well suited to my growing zone. The delivery team was phenomenal. They carefully excavated the area without damaging irrigation or outdoor lights and took away the dead tree and excess soil. I definitely recommend this company for sourcing and planting large trees. So much integrity and professionalism.
I absolutely love my tree. The process was super easy and the whole crew was knowledgeable and easy to work with. Gave me great tips on how to care for my tree etc. The quality of the tree is just outstanding as well and so beautiful to look at. Super excited to watch it grow!
I received this tree in early November of last year. It was categorized as being in the 6-8 foot range. The tree I received was over 8 feet tall! I was a little surprised it was a balled & burlapped specimen, as I expected a container grown tree. This was a new experience for me, as I had never planted a tree this large before. I planted it and hoped for the best. We had an especially severe winter here on Long Island, NY. As you can see from the photos, I needn't have worried. It began blooming last week and new flower buds are still forming. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommended.

The tree looks very healthy but I don't understand the pruning. Bower & Branch promised to follow up this planting with watering advice. No input so far!

I was amazed at the overall excellence of my experience with Bower and Branch. After I ordered my 4XL tree, I got frequent communication about when it would be harvested and delivered. When the truck arrived, on time, I had the pleasure of meeting Troy and another young man who planted my tree. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and very conscientious. They dug the most perfect hole I’ve ever seen and then carefully refilled around the rootball. They fertilized and watered and cleaned up every speck of dirt . My yard looked fantastic when they left, and my new tree is beautiful. I can’t recommend Bower and Branch highly enough!!

I think my Black Gum tree will grow beautifully into the wide canopy tree I want. The 6-7’ tree has only been growing in my lawn for a few
months. Just a note not to expect the gorgeous red fall colored leaves that are pictured. (I did read in the description that colors are red, yellow and orange.) But the picture dominated my imagination. However my tree’s fall leaf color is yellow-orange. Oh, well; it will still be a handsome tree one day.
It is a healthy looking large tree/bush. I am anxious to see what happens in the spring.
We had an unexpected snow storm on the day our tree was to be planted. The roads were terrible with many accidents. The team member contacted us and we arranged a time the following day to keep him off of the very slick roads. He showed up on time and got the tree planted in no time. We discussed watering since the temperatures had dropped below freezing and were to stay that way until the following day. He advised we hold watering until the temperatures came up so as not to freeze the root ball. We are very happy with the tree, the communication from Bower and Branch. The tree appears healthy, though it has no leaves due to the time of year.

I’m grateful for the 3 year guarantee as I ordered this tree (Ivory Spear Crabapple) late in the season. I wouldn’t normally plant this late in the year, but I was concerned it wouldn’t be available next spring. It lost all its leaves within a week. Fingers crossed. I was surprised the tree was balled & burlapped, as I had inquired about this before ordering and was told it would be a container grown tree. This was a new planting experience for me. I removed the burlap and wire cage. It’s November, so I’ll have to wait until spring to see if it makes it through the winter.

I ordered the 6XL Blaze Maple and it looks great. My one word of advice for the private homeowner is that the delivery is just that and you will need to engage a landscaping service to install the tree. Especially one as big as I ordered. I can't wait until the spring to see it with leaves.
